10 YEARS WITH ASQ

This year marks a special anniversary, as we celebrate a decade‑long partnership with the Australian String Quartet (ASQ), alongside an extraordinary milestone for the ensemble: 40 years since their founding in 1985 in Adelaide.

Established to promote the art of the string quartet, champion Australian composition and connect deeply with audiences at home and abroad, ASQ is recognised as one of the country’s leading voices in chamber music and is the Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Adelaide’s Elder Conservatorium.

Across ten wonderful years, Voyager Estate has proudly supported performances that bring together the artistry of fine wine and live classical music, creating moments of shared beauty through concerts featuring some of Australia’s most exceptional string musicians.

This past weekend, we were once again honoured to host the much‑anticipated ASQ Margaret River Weekend of Music. It was a privilege to welcome guests from near and far for an unforgettable Gala concert, set against our vineyards and framed by the majestic Marri trees beyond.

Now in its fifteenth year, the annual festival marked one of the final events in the ASQ 2025 National Program, following their Ruby celebrations in London and National Convergence Tour performances across Australia.

The Gala concert spanned centuries and styles, with works by Robert Schumann, Mozart and English Renaissance composer John Dowland, alongside a striking contemporary piece by Irish violist and composer Garth Knox. Following the performance, guests gathered to enjoy an indulgent wine‑paired menu in the Voyager Estate Restaurant highlighting our region’s outstanding local produce.

As we reflect on ten years of partnership – and the Quartet's incredible forty years of music‑making – we are proud to continue supporting an organisation that shares our commitment to craftsmanship, creativity and the joy of bringing people together through remarkable experiences.
