Ratings
5/ 'Sits atop the Voyager tree, and it’s now quite a lofty tree of great wines. This is classic cabernet. Elegant and more in the medium-bodied zone, but with a deep intensity derived from this excellent vintage…Great wine.' / Ray Jordan, The West Australian Wine Guide
Vineyard Notes
A near-perfect growing season with a warm, dry spring & relatively light winds. Summer was nice & warm without excessive heat until an 80mm downpour mid-January, a timely watering for the reds followed by some cooler weather. Fruit for our Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested during perfect autumnal conditions, with excellent concentration, density and structure.
Production Notes
2014: The perfect ripening conditions experienced during the 2014 vintage has produced a medium weight wine displaying purity and elegance. Complex aromas of red and dark berry fruits with hints of violets, dark chocolate, earth and cedar all follow through on the palate, also displaying regional earthy, gravelly nuances contributing a nice savoury textural element to the wine. A perfect balance of aroma, flavour and structure which will ensure great longevity.
