For more than 20 years, we have worked to care for the land entrusted to us. What began with a focus on healthy soils and responsible farming has grown into a broader philosophy that nurtures and enriches the Estate as a whole – vineyard, gardens, surrounding landscape, and the many interconnected systems that support them.
From the way we farm and manage water to the way we reduce our footprint, our daily decisions are guided by a deeply held ethos: to leave the land in better condition than we found it for future generations.

Our Certified Organic vineyard and winery is just one part of a broader commitment to caring for the land. We focus on cultivating healthy soils, supporting biodiversity and building a resilient vineyard capable of thriving for decades to come. For us, organics is an ongoing practice of working with nature as our guide and more than just doing 'no harm'. It's about considering how we can bring more life to our vineyards and paddocks.
Today, that approach includes managing weeds under vine without disturbing soil, planting cover crops between vine rows, creating and applying certified organic compost from grape marc, garden waste and kitchen organics, and using precision irrigation systems to conserve water. Together, these practices and others help ensure our land is healthy, alive and regenerating for years to come.
The world around us
We care for our environment as a connected organism, and we continue to look for ways to reduce our impact and support the communities of which we are part.
We currently source 35% of our electricity use from our own solar panels, with additional solar power in the pipeline. Over time, we have focused on more fuel-efficient tractors and looked for ways we can combine machinery and equipment to reduce tractor use.
We have invested in generating our own, third-party verified carbon planting through a 20ha biodiversity project completed in 2023 – a way of generating ‘internal offsets’ that reduce our operational carbon footprint.
Voyager Estate is currently a silver member of International Wineries for Climate Action, confirming our commitment to taking immediate and long-term action to reduce greenhouse emissions.
Other emissions reduction initiatives include using lightweight bottles, our farm-to-table market garden reducing food miles in our Restaurant, and consciously burning less wood in our Cellar Door fireplace.
We are also members of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia, a national program for winemakers to demonstrate and continuously improve their sustainability in the vineyard and winery through the environmental, social and economic aspects of their businesses.
Through our Voyager Community program, we support local non-profit organisations working to make a positive difference across our region.
