Our Wines
All our wines are single estate grown and made. Each variety plays its part in demonstrating the effect that our site’s gravel soils, microclimate, aspect and maritime influence—wines that could be from no other place on earth; uniquely Voyager Estate and distinctly Margaret River.
Cabernet & Chardonnay
Chardonnay and Cabernet are our lifeblood. From our pinnacle MJW range, uniquely expressive of our terroir, through to our classic Voyager Estate expressions, and our approachable, fruit-driven Coastal, each wine in our collection reflects our aim to craft some of the most pure, elegant and balanced Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons in the world.
Other varietals
Some of our oldest plantings feature in our range of classic Margaret River varietals, perfectly matched to our free draining soils and coastal influence. From Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, to Rosé and Sparkling Chenin Blanc, these wines are true expressions of our organically farmed vineyards.

Project wines reflect our curiosity for creating new and distinctive wines from the small, special parcels of fruit we discover in certain vintages. We like to challenge the norm with these artisanal wines, experimenting with new methods and styles to produce limited releases – they ultimately embody our spirit of innovation, the nuances of the season, and our love for our place.

in the vineyard
At Voyager Estate the story behind every bottle begins in this very special part of the world we call home—Margaret River. Our little pocket, Stevens Valley in the south of the region, is a place where idyllic microclimate, ancient geology and coastal influence converge to create our distinctive Voyager Estate style.
All our grapes are grown in the gravel and loam soils of our own vineyard. Each block has its own distinct personality which we encourage to flourish through our natural approach to viticulture.
As winegrowers we are custodians of the land, operating at the intersection of tradition and creativity to move our craft forward. Under the watchful eye of Vineyard Manager, Glen Ryan, we produce exceptional quality certified organic fruit that translates into wines that are true expressions of the unique coastal site that is Voyager Estate.
Our journey to organics
While we began conversion in 2017 and our first vineyards were certified in 2020, 2023 marks the official completion of the organic certification process. We are proud to say the entire Voyager Estate vineyard is now officially Australian Certified Organic.
Organic farming puts nature back in charge. Sure, it requires dedication, hard work and risk taking, but it's the right thing to do. For our owner Alex, that’s the key driver—to consciously build a healthy and resilient vineyard, and leave the land in a better condition than we found it.
Voyager’s journey to organics began many years ago. Our vineyards have been farmed sustainably for decades, so our conversion to organic farming and pathway to certification was just a natural next step. In 2004, the team began trialling an organic farming approach to our heritage Old Block Cabernet, and our organics journey was formalised over a ‘kicking the dirt’ chat with Alex Burt and Vineyard Manager Glen Ryan in 2016.

Led by Chief Winemaker Tim Shand, our winemaking is a continuation of our ‘hands off’ and organic approach to viticulture.
Our ultimate ambition couldn’t be simpler—to craft wines that do justice to our extraordinary climate and soils through some of the most pure, elegant and balanced Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons in the world. These are the wines our soils were destined to make, and it’s our job as custodians to never get in the way of that sense and taste of place in every bottle.
So, we bring great technique and precision to our winemaking process. But we also do it with an eye on the drinkability of the wine, trusting our senses while still embracing the science of great winemaking. For wines that could be from no other place on earth; uniquely Voyager Estate and distinctly Margaret River.
