Our Team Scoops Three Top Accolades at WA Good Food Guide Awards
Last night we were thrilled to collect the WA Good Food Guide Regional Restaurant of The Year and Regional Chef of the Year ,as well as placing third in the Top 50 Restaurants in WA, behind Perth restaurant Wildflower and Margaret River's Wills Domain. Congratulations to Santi and the Restaurant team for their ever-inspiring work.
Since his arrival at Voyager Estate in May 2017, Santi has embraced our wine and food concept, even going as far as to say that 'the wine tells me what to create'. His menu had the Guide reviewers claiming they talked for days about "tastes, flavours, techniques, beauty and a goose-bumpy thrill ride."
They went on to say,
“Santiago Fernandez is playful and whimsical with his cookery. He is also deadly serious about his own expectations and about delighting his guests. We know all this because we’ve eaten his food. By the by, he is also much loved by his staff. “So what?” you might think, but when staff can’t stop telling you how wonderful he is, there’s something very positive going on on the other side of the pass, which, we think, is expressed in his confident, imaginative and pulchritudinous degustation menus."
Our wonderful front of house team were not missed out. The critics were also full of praise for their contribution to the experience.
