Ripe citrus aromas of lemon rind and grapefruit with notes of nectarine and dried pear and a hint of vanilla shortbread.
The product of the warm ripening season, this wine displays classic ripe grapefruit and peach with hints of dried pear, great natural acid and a long creamy finish.
Longer cooked and fattier white meats, such as pork belly or roasts match the fuller body of this Chardonnay.
Cellar PotentialUp to 10 yearsWinemaking NotesThe outstanding 2011 vintage has produced a wine of exceptional fineness, balance and purity. Aromas of citrus blossom and white nectarine lead to a textural palate of lemon pith, grapefruit and dried pears with a clean, flinty, mineral finish. Sensitive winemaking techniques and the subtle use of French oak have produced a wine with great flavour and texture which is restrained, complex and elegant.
AccoladesWest Australian Wine Guide 2015The Voyager Estate style of Chardonnay is one of delicacy and complex subtle expression of the variety. This is another very good wine that is only just starting to really settle into its work. Mealy grapefruit aromas with a light roasted cashew character. Fine minerally acidity gives it a crunchy lip smacking finish. Clean and long in the mouth. Very good.
